The Next Steps

Now that we’ve launched the bare-bones version of TCVD, I’d like to share a bit about what’s coming in 2024.

VENDOR PROFILES: Beginning in late-January, vendors will be able to claim and manage their own listings. Personalized descriptions, business hours, physical address, contact information, and links to social will be available. This will always be free.

BOOKMARKS: Users will be able to create an account and bookmark their favorite vendors on this site. ETA: February.

NEW COUNTRIES: South Africa and Japan are scheduled for the next update. ETA: January. We are currently accepting submissions from all countries and will organize them as they come in.

ADDITIONAL CATEGORIES: New categories slated for 2024 are: packaging (such as retail boxes, clamshells), candle molds, and shipping supplies (mailers, labels, bubble wrap, packing peanuts). ETA: mid-February

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES: We’re gearing up to add a whole new section dedicated to professional services that cater to candlemakers such as custom vessels, fragrance development or duplication, label printing, graphic design, packaging design, web design. What services do you wish to see listed? ETA: March

NEWSLETTER: To keep our community up-to-date on the latest happenings on the site and in our industry, we’ll be launching a monthly newsletter in January.

TUTORIALS & REFERENCE MATERIALS: The BIG goal for this site is to be a hub of reliable information and instruction for our community. ETA: TBD

THE FRAGRANCE FINDER: A companion site to TCVD, the Fragrance Finder is an online database of fragrance oils and hub for learning about and experiencing scent. I’ve been working on this for 3-ish years now and it’s getting close to launch. ETA: TBD.
